The Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Liaquat Baloch has said that the US
decision tying up its security assistance with Pakistan’s performance
against the Al-Qaida was most shameful and proved total failure of
Pakistan’s foreign and defense strategy.
In a statement here on Tuesday, he said the political and military
leadership of the country had now to decide how long they would carry
out the Washington’s dictates for Do More.
He however said that if the federal government and the military high
command did not change their policies in the light of the Parliament’s
resolutions, the anti Pakistan forces would continue to deepen their
roots in the country as would shake the people confidence and national
unity, endangering national solidarity.
Liaquat Baloch said, the US civil and military assistance could
never lead this country towards progress and prosperity. Foreign aid
and loans during the last 64 years had only brought disgrace to the
country and the nation. Therefore, all foreign aid tied to insulting
conditionalities must be turned down. SANA
