OGDCL launches development project in Dera Bugti, NA body told

ISLAMABAD: The OGDCL has launched development project with estimated cost of Rs. 225.516 million for the year 2010-2011 in Dera Bugti area of Balochistan.

This was said by officials of OGDCL while briefing the National Assembly Standing committee here in the parliament house on Tuesday.
The committee was informed that 703 employees working at OGDCL were also hired from Balochistan and 54 other employees from the province were hired through third party.
Briefing the committee, officials of Sui Southern Gas Pipeline Limited informed that no audit observation has been reported in audit reports by government audit for district Dera Bugti during last 10 years. 227 executives and 529 staff members are working in SSGPL from Balochistan.
Earlier, in his briefing the acting managing director of Pakistan Petroleum Limited told the committee that two members of Board of Director in PPL are from Balochistan.
The committee also put cross question in connection to production and profitability of the energy related organizations.
Members of the committee Sayed Nasir Ali Shah, Haji Rozud-Din, Makhdoom Muhammad Javid Hashmi, Dr. Imtiaz Sultan Bukhari, Suriya Asghar, Gul Muhammad Jakharni, Muhammad Ayub Shiekh and Tasneem Ahmed Qureshi attended the meeting. Online
