Zimbabwe moved shakily to 29/3 against Pakistan in the World Cup Group A match at the Pallekele International Stadium in Kandy on Monday.

9th over: Craig Ervine plays a good drive through mid-wicket for three runs off Wahab Riaz as Zimbabwe moves to 29/3. Ervine is on eight and Tatenda Taibu on eleven. The fast bowlers are looking threatening and have generally used the helpful conditions beautifully.

Cricket World Cup 2011: Saeed Ajmal wants a crack at Aussies in World Cup

KARACHI: Pakistan's off-spinner Saeed Ajmal wants a crack at the Australians in the 2011 World Cup to avenge the thrashing he got at their hands in the ICC Twenty20 World Championships last year in the West Indies.

"I have forgotten the mauling I got at the hands of Mike Hussey because if I kept that in my mind I would never be able to play cricket. But I definitely want a shot at the Australians in this World Cup to even things," Ajmal said in Pallekele.

PALLEKELE, Sri Lanka: Ian Chappell, the former Australia captain, wants Pakistan to shine against the Aussies in their final World Cup Pool A game at Colombo’s R Premadasa Stadium on March 19.

It’s not because Chappell is a huge Pakistan supporter. He just wants Australia to get a good work-out before they play in the knock-out stages of the tournament.
