Multan - Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said here Sunday that his government will not take any negative step on Raymond Davis issue which could tarnish image of country in the world.

Prime Minister said that Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi did not quit the PPP and he is still with us.
Gilani said: “It would be premature to say anything about the electoral alliance,” and added it would be decided when the election schedule would be announced.
To a question on the deteriorating law and order situation in Karachi and growing incidents of target killing, Prime Minister said: “We would adopt a strategy with the consensus.

On a question on the reappointment of Director General of FIA, Prime Minister said since the matter isin the court he can’t comment on it.
He said: “We honor the mandate of the provinces and would not create any trouble even for Punjab Government. Though PML-N had parted its ways from the PPP yet politics of reconciliation would continue.
Commenting on the ruckus in Punjab assembly, Prime Minister said, ”It was expected”. However the best side of the story is that despite scuffles, no one of the ‘worthy members’ got injured.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani last night presided over a high level meeting here wherein he was given briefing on the execution of PM’s development package for South Punjab. Prime Minister said that the provision of basic facilities was the right of the people and the government would continue the public welfare projects despite challenges.
