No one enjoys indemnity in criminal cases: CJ Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry

Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has remarked that no one has indemnity in criminal cases. “When indemnity was not given to a former Prime Minister than how immunity can be given to an MPA”, CJ said.

SC issues notices to AG, PQA officials in illegal appointments case

Supreme Court of Pakistan has adjourned the hearing of case till December 13, against alleged 686 illegal appointments in Port Qasim Authority (PQA). Court has issued notices to Chairman Port Qasim Authority and Attorney General for Pakistan, while Apex Court has directed to Chairman PQA to review the matter of non-payment of 13 months salaries of Former Secretary of Ministry Port and Shipping Jabbar Memon.
