Pakistan rejects ICAN report on nuclear spending Report’s statistics seriously faulty: officials
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Wednesday strongly rejected the ICAN report that
in 2011 it spent $2.2 billion on its nuclear weapons programme, up from
$1.8 billion in 2010.
US diplomat denies threats to Pakistan over IP gas line
ISLAMABAD: Dispelling the impression of US threat of sanctions on
Pakistan over IP gas pipeline, US Deputy Chief of Mission Richard
Hoagland Wednesday said that urge for gas is legitimate demand of

that he would prove before the Supreme Court that Prime Minister Yousuf
Raza Gilani is not guilty in contempt of court case.
Senate demands immediate recovery of missing persons
Senate of Pakistan has adopted a unanimous resolution for the early recovery of
all the missing persons of FATA, Karachi and Baluchistan; meanwhile the

Supreme Court to continue hearing of contempt case against Gilani today
The Supreme Court (SC) has adjourned the contempt of court case against Prime
Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani till today (Thursday), the Attorney
General Maulvi Anwar-ul-Haq would plead the case as prosecutor, while
Secretary Cabinet/Defence Nargis Sethi has been ordered to appear again.
