Pakistan deploys troops along Afghan border

Pakistan has deployed army personnel along its border with Afghanistan that was earlier manned by paramilitary forces and border police, a military spokesman said Tuesday.

Army continues relief, rescue operation in Sindh flood affected areas

Rawalpindi: Relief and Rescue operations are being carried out by Pakistan Army troops in flood affected areas of Sindh.
According to a press release, Army has deployed over 1000 troops, 70 boats, 50 dewatering pumps for relief and rescue operations in flood hit areas of Sindh. Till date over 30,000 flood affectees have been evacuated to safer places in Badin, Tando Muhammad Khan, Mirpur Khas, Mithi, Umar Kot, Sanghar and Tando Allahyar.

5 kids, driver killed, 19 injured in Peshawar bus attack

PESHAWAR: At least five students and a driver were killed and several others injured in an attack on a school bus near Peshawar’s Matni By-pass , officials said on Tuesday.

Power outage claims 4 patients’ lives
