Lower Dir: Blast kills ANP leader, injures 4

LOWER DIR: Member Executive Committee of ANP Sher Muhammad Khan was killed in a remote-controlled bomb blast in Bandai area of Lower Dir on Tuesday.

According to details, Sher Muhammad Khan along with his driver and guards including Shahid, Rafiullah and Matiullah, was in a van in Bandai area of Lower Dir when he was attacked with a remote-controlled explosive device.
Sher Muhammad Khan died on the spot while the other four people were injured in the incident. The security forces cordoned off the area and launched search operation.
The injured were urgently shifted to District Hospital Timergrah where their condition is said to be out of danger.
A local journalist of Chitral told that military contingents were being deployed in this area formally for the first time which has created panic among the local population. Local population was thinking that Chitral had remained a peaceful district and lest the army should start operation in this area which could disrupt the peace in these districts.
Locals told that all the government schools located in border areas had been got vacated and announcements in this respect had been made from the mosques as well. Online
