No compromise on national security: JCSC

RAWALPINDI: Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (JCSC) Tuesday met with Gen Khalid Shameem Wynne, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee in chair at the Joint Staff Headquarters to review at length a range of issues including national security, regional security, situation of Eastern and Western borders, defence needs of armed forces and other matters.

As per ISPR, Army Chief Gen Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, Naval Chief Admiral Noman Bashir, Air Chief Rao Qamar Suleman,, defence secretary, secretary defence production, Director General Joint Staff, DG ISI, DG Strategic plans division and senior military officers attended the meeting.
The committee reviewed challenges facing the country and expressed full satisfaction over operational preparedness of armed forces.
Military sources told DG ISI gave detailed briefing to the participants with reference to national security. He also apprised the participants of the details of the achievements being made in ongoing operation against the terrorists.
Sources further told that the participants reiterated the resolve national security would be given top priority and no compromise would be made or pressure would be accepted on it. Online
