Shikarpur - There is no any person above the law and it was the constitutional, moral, legal, democratic and national obligation to honor and accept all legal decisions of the Courtsof Law. Therefore there was no need to make comments over the decision of Supreme Court of Pakistan, former Sindh Chief Minister and PML-N’s central leader Syed Ghous Ali Shah said.
Talking to newsmen on the occasion of reception given by Iqbal Detho, National Manager Society for Prevention of Rights of Child at Gymkhana here on Sunday evening, he said that we believed in supremacy of law and acceptance of the legal decisions made by Courts of Law because there was no any way to get the legal matters settled except the Courts of Law.
He disagreed with the recent call of protest strike given by the PPP leadership against the decision of the Supreme Court about appointment of Syed Deedar Ali Shah as a NAB Chairman and termed it as unlawful act to dishonor the Judiciary.
Ghous Ali Shah said that there was legal way to file revision appeal in this case if the ruling party leadership was not satisfied of the decision by the Supreme Court, instead of observing the protest against the Court decision.
Replying to a question about the midterm election, the PML-N leader said that it depended upon the performance of the present rulers whether they were taking serious steps to redress the people’s grievances and resolve their long standing problems or creating unfair situation to compel the people to come on roads against them.
He advised the present rulers to avoid undemocratic formula and do collective efforts together with other political parties while implementing the reconciliation policy for stability of the democracy inthe interest of the nation and the country.
