President, PM discuss current political, economy situation, Zardari for upholding national interests against personal gains

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has stressed shunning personal concerns for the sake of larger national interests saying PPP has fulfilled promises made to masses.

During his talks with PM, Yousaf Raza Gilani at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Tuesday, he also expressed that government was contemplating serious endeavors to ameliorate crisis surrounding the Federation.
He also said that the democratic government was following the vision of late Benazir Bhutto, and also carrying forward the policy of reconciliation with all political forces.
He also stressed that he had no personal grudge against anybody and rather wanted a prosperous and economically sound Pakistan.
Besides discussing the over all socio-political scenario of the Country, both executives also reviewed the process of talks with such coalition partners as MQM and ANP; besides such issues like appointment of new NAB chairman and government’s relationship with Supreme Court.
Both also agreed to carry on the respect and adherence to all verdicts of Supreme Court.
President Zardari also directed PM to ensure full supply of all necessary commodities and other facilities for flood affectees, including their rehabilitation. Online
