JI urges armed forces to reject US dictates, revert to Taqwah & Jehad

The Jamaat-e-Islami chief, Syed Munawar Hasan, has exhorted the armed forces to reject the US dictates for Do More and revert to their motto of Iman, Taqwah and Jehad.

Addressing an Iftar party at Karachi South on Monday evening, he said the military high command should tell Washington point black that it could not open fire on its own people.
Syed Munawar Hasan said that military operation was not the solution of the situation in Karachi. He said the people as also the armed forces knew who was responsible for the unrest in the port city. Every body knew the target killers and terrorists who were out to disturb peace in the mega city. He said after the Muttahida, the ANP had begun extortion while the MQM would be again strengthened with rejoining the government.
He said that Karachi was the economic hub of the county and disturbances in the city affected the whole country.
The JI chief further said that lakhs of people had been uprooted due to the military operations in the Khyber P. province and added that the solution lay in the Jirga and not military operations.
Syed Munawar Hasan said that the holy Quran had been revealed in the holy month of Ramadan. It was the message of peace for the entire mankind. He said all over the world, there were the people who held the Quran close to their hearts and there were others who were its enemy.
He said the US was the greatest enemy of the Quran. It was the US that had termed the Muslims as terrorists. The US and NATO troops had been perpetrating tyranny in Afghanistan and Iraq. However, they were unable to defeat the handful of Mujahideen in the last ten years. Now the US was claiming of having killed Osama bin laden. He however said that Osama was not the name of an individual it was the name of standing up against the US. The Quran was motivating the Mujahideen for Jehad and it was the spirit of Jehad that had defeated the US and NATO forces. SANA
