ISLAMABAD: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) along with Jamiat
Ulema-e-Islam(F) staged walk –out and protested on Tuesday when matters
of target killing and incidents of deteriorating peace in Karachi and
Quetta were sidelined in the National Assembly(NA) Session.
National
Assembly session was planned according to the Private Member Day Agenda
whereas MQM said the session was set to discuss the matters of target
killings, peace and stability matters in Karachi and Quetta. They
staged token walk-out from NA whereas JUI(F) also joined them in the
symbolic walk-out.
On returning from the token walk-out, member
MQM Haider Abbas Rizvi said indiscriminate slaughter is in practice in
Karachi and Quetta whereas government is not paying attention to the
matter seriously and isn’t ready to even discuss it in Lower House.
Chief Whip Syed Khurshid said if Lower House wants to discuss these respective matters then he has no objection over it.

NA Dr. Fehmida Mirza, stopping routine proceedings and suspending the
NA rules, agreed to discuss peace and stability matters of Karachi and
Quetta after the strong protest staged by the opposition. Online
