KARACHI: Interior Minister Rehman Malik has observed that Karachi
city will not he allowed to be made hostage at gun point by any one.
"Government
will take stern action against miscreants and outlaws who are out to
disrupt peace in the country. Enough is enough. Unprecendentd measures
will be taken to ensure stability, peace and normalcy in Karachi. No
one will be let make this city hostage at gun point", he said while
talking to media men after presiding a high level meeting at the
National Crisis Management Cell (NCMC) here on Tuesday.
Acting
Director General Rangers (Sindh), Brig. Zafar Iqbal, IGP Sindh Wajid
Ali Khan Durrani and Home Minister Manzoor Wassan attended the meeting.
Rehman Malik said that 26 people were killed in various parts of
the city on Monday by terrorists who targeted all including Urdu,
Pushto and Seraiki speaking people. “We are committed to take action
with force against the law breakers,” he maintained.
Who are
miscreants, every one is well aware of it, Malik said adding government
will not allow anti-state elements to destabilise the country.
Terrorists are now targetting our children and mothers, he held.
Strategy has been evolved to to take action against 90,000 Afghanis
living in Karachi with fake documents and also government will check
the illegal Bengali immigrants as wel, he added. “We will bring peace
