ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister Makhdoom Shahab ud Din has said that
government has taken notice of overcharging of electricity bills to the
consumers and initiated action against the persons found responsible in
this irregularity.
Replying to a call attention notice in the
lower house he said Tuesday that NEPRA was not authorised to take any
decision with regard to enhancement in power tariff. All the
stakeholders are consulted in this respect, he told. Steps were being
taken for issuance of correct bills to the consumers, he informed.

legislator Parveen Masud Kausar presented Amendment bill in Capital
Development Authority Ordinance –1960 and Capital Development Amendment
Bill-2011 in the house and government did not oppose the bills. The
