Karachi target killing claim another 10 lives

At least 10 persons were killed and many other injured and many vehicles were burnt down during the violent clashes here on Tuesday in Karachi.

Meanwhile 309 people were killed in the city on Monday and during the last 11 days more than 148 people have lost their lives in the violent incidents started on 22nd of July.
According to police and hospital sources, in attacks on property, cars and homes 29 including two policemen, two brothers, a father and son and some workers of political parties were killed.
Ten trussed up bodies were also found from different areas who, were kidnapped and later killed by unknown men.
On Tuesday, terrorists opened fire on a car near the Urdu University resulting in the death of Waqar, Arif, Atif and Naeem Arif while three others were injured.
In Nazimabad near the Sir Syed College, the body of a young man was discovered in the trunk of a car. The bodies of two men who had been kidnapped on Monday were discovered in Orangi Town on Tuesday morning. The bodies of two workers of the PTI were also discovered on Monady from this site.
Meanwhile two persons were killed in the result of the firing of the unknown persons at surjani area of the city.
One person was killed in the result of the firing of unknown persons in Mari Pur area of the city.
Meanwhile after the Rangers, the Frontier Constabulary (FC) has also been given police powers in the city, while the Rangers have been directed to take action in troubled areas.
These decisions were taken during a meeting on the law and order situation in the city held at the Chief Minister House. The meeting was jointly chaired by Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah and Interior Minister Rehman Malik.
A statement issued by the CM house read that Rangers and police had also been directed to take immediate action against miscreants and this action would continue until these elements were eliminated.
Participants of the meeting appealed to residents, religious and political parties to play their part in restoring and maintaining peace in the city. SANA
