JI to organize national conference on Karachi situation in Islamabad soon: Baloch

Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Liaquat Baloch has said that soon Jamaat-e-Islami would organize a national conference regarding the situation of Karachi where a strategy would be devised with a national agreed opinion to put pressure on the government to restore peace of Karachi.

In a statement issued from Mansoora Lahore Liaquat Baloch said that the announcement of Interior Minister Rehman Malik regarding the air surveillance of Karachi would be proved as a clam like past.
He said that the situation of Karachi is very critical, adding that the federal and provincial governments are not serious in maintaining peace in Karachi due to which the police and rangers are failed to control the situation of Karachi.
He said that PPP, ANP and MQM support the criminal elements in Karachi, adding that until the members of land mafia, extortionists, and drug suppliers would not be struck off from the political parties the law enforcing agencies would be unable to play an effective role.
He said that due to the presence of Governor MQM is practically part of government, adding that due to the corruption and fake polices of the ruling parties the institutions are being paralyzed.
He said that if the peace in Karachi would not be restored then the whole country would be affected by this.
He said that instead of using armed power, law should enforce in Karachi without any discrimination and the whole Karachi city should be cleaned up from illegal weapons.
Regarding the statement of COAS General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani about Balochistan that army had no right to conduct dialogues with angry Baloch people; no army operations would be conducted in Balochistan, no relation of arm forces regarding the unidentified dead bodies of Baloch people, then the federal government and provincial is directly responsible for operations in Balochistan.
