QUETTA: Committee constituted by IG Police Balochistan to probe into
Kharotabad incident has recommended for holding fresh inquiry, sacking
of SHO Fazlur Rehman,
ASI Raza Muhammad and trial of former CCPO Dawood
Junejo under criminal act. Sources told a tribunal was constituted led
by a judge of Balochistan High Court to investigate and fix
responsibility in the incident of killings of 5 foreigners including 3
women due to firing of law enforcement agencies here on May, 17.
On
receipt of the report of this tribunal IG Police had constituted a
committee under Bashir Memon, commandant Balochistan Constabulary for
initiation of departmental action. This committee has evolved its
report.
The committee has held SHO Fazlur Rehman and ASI Raza
Muhammad responsible for Kharotabad incident and recommended that they
be dismissed from service and tried under murder case.
The
committee has further recommended that departmental action be initiated
against former CCPO Quetta Dawood Junejo and he be proceeded against
under criminal act.
Fresh investigation by DIG Investigation be conducted into the incident, report also recommended. Online
