The Punjab Home Department has issued a new list of banned organizations, comprising 22 banned and one under observation organization.
Twenty three banned organizations are listed and they have been
barred from collecting Zakat, Fitra and charity during the Ramzan.
According to the Punjab Home Department, action under the terrorism
act will be taken against those who are found to be in violation of
this ban. The Sunni Tehreek will continue to be monitored while action
will also be taken against those who make contributions to the banned
organizations.
According to the list banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, Sipah-e-Muhammad
Pakistan, Lashkar-e-Tayyaba, Sipah-e-Sihaba Pakistan,
Tehreek-e-Jafferia Pakistan, Tehreek-e-Nifaz-e-Shariat-e-Muhammadi,
Millat-e-Islamia Pakistan, Khuddamul Islamia, Islamic Tehreek, Hizbut
Tehreer, Jamaatul Ansar, Jamaatul Furqan, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan
and five banned organization belonging to Balochistan are included in
the list.
The orders sent by the Home Department have been conveyed to the 36
DPOs of the districts and eight RPOs by the Inspector General of Police
Punjab Javed Iqbal.
According to the instructions issued by the IGP it is said that the
action against the violators would be taken according to the
anti-terrorism law. SANA
