Ex-Chairman Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) lieutenant general (retd) Zulfiqar Ali Khan has said that the united stated wants to roll back the Pakistani nuclear programme.
He said that accusations of selling nuclear secrets to North Korea
against him are baseless, adding that he send defamation notice to US
newspaper for publishing a false story against him.
In an interview with a private TV channel Zulfiqar Ali Khan said
that the allegations of selling nuclear secrets to North Korea are
baseless, adding that US is trying to humiliate Pakistan’s secret
agencies and retired generals are being targeted to roll back the
country’s nuclear program.
He said that nuclear program of Pakistan is focused by US and it is
trying to roll back the nuclear program of Pakistan, adding that for
this purpose US presents excuses of Taliban and command and control
system of the country.
He said that the recent extracts published in the Washington Post
showed that US want to create a buffer zone between the people of
Pakistan and security institutions to achieve their interests regarding
the nuclear program.
Zulfiqar Ali Khan said that the letter published was wrote in 1998,
adding that at that time he was not performing duties at General
Headquarters, adding that he would serve defamation notice against the
Washington Post. SANA
