RAWALPINDI: Additional District and Sessions Judge has granted
interim bail till July 14 to Attiqa Odho, renowned artist in a case
registered against her for possessing liquor.
It may be
recalled that Attiqa Odho had reached Benazir International a few days
earlier to fly to Islamabad by PIA flight and she was stopped there
after two bottles black label liquor were recovered from her possession
at SF checking counter. However she was allowed to travel on the
interference from influential persons.
After the reports of
this incident found way in the media a case was registered by police on
June, 7 against her on the report of assistant collector of Customs,
Saira Yasir. People had flooded to district courts to glimpse Attiqa
