Pak Court directs probe agency to present Mushraff's property details

An Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) in Pakistan has directed Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to provide full details of former military ruler, Parvez Musharraf's property.

The ATC had earlier declared Musharraf a proclaimed offender in the Benazir Bhutto assassination case, enabling the court to attach his immovable property in Pakistan, The Nation reports.

During an in-camera trial held at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, FIA top brass, Islamabad administration officials, District Coordination Officer (DCO) Rawalpindi and Deputy District Officer-Revenue (DDO-R) appeared before the court and presented the details of Musharraf's property.

The court was apprised that General (Retired) Parvez Musharraf did not own any property in Rawalpindi, however, he had a farm house in Islamabad, whereas some agricultural land located at Kotha Kallan in Rawalpindi, was on the name of his wife, Begum Sehba Musharraf.

The court observed that the details were insufficient and ordered the FIA to present the full details of property owned by the accused before the court on the next date of hearing.

The defence lawyers, during the proceedings, told the court the prosecution had not given them the list of witnesses so far and filed a plea with the court in this regard.

Subsequently, the court directed the FIA to hand over the list of witnesses to the defence counsels and adjourned the Benazir murder case hearing till July 23. (ANI)
