Peace to be restored in Karachi: Rehman Malik


KARACHI: Interior Minister Rehman Malik Saturday directed law enforcement agencies to act without any discrimination against the miscreants who are damaging peace of Karachi.

To review the law and order situation in Karachi, a meeting was held on Saturday among Federal Interior Minister, Rehman Malik, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah, new Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Hussain Wasan, IG Sindh Wajid Durrani, DIGs Rangers and others at the CM House here.
Rehman Malik directed the Sindh Police and Rangers to take steps to control the situation and enhance the number of deployment of security personnel in troubled areas of the city.
Rehman Malik said action should be taken against the miscreants, who are trying to disrupt peace in the commercial city. He further directed them that all resources should be utilized to ensure security to life and property of citizens. He said no one should be allowed to violate the law and violators should be dealt with iron hand.
It was also decided in meeting to review the law and order situation of the city after every eight hours and chief minister Sindh and home minister Sindh would jointly supervise this practice. Online
