The MQM members of the Sindh Assembly moved a requisition to the Secretary Sindh Assembly at his office in Karachi here on Saturday for summoning the session of the House immediately.
Later, talking to newsmen Raza Haroon of MQM said the requisition is based on a 5-points agenda.
He said besides the MQM the members of the Sindh Assembly belonging
to the PML (F) have also given the requisition along with them for
summoning the session.
About the future role of the MQM in the Provincial Assembly he said
MQM along with the PML (F) would play an effective role as the joint
opposition in the House.
He said this role would be in the interest of the people of the province.

open on Saturday and people were busy in their routine activities of

The government offices, banks, educational institutions and other
private offices were also opened on Saturday. However public transport
remained thin on the roads and the law and order situation remained
still tense in the city. In the result of the action of law enforcement
agencies Orangi Town, Qasba Colony and Peerabad were cleared from the
miscreants.
In this regard, a spokesman of the Pakistan Rangers said that the
Qasba Colony and the Kati Pahari areas of the Orangi Town are now under
the control of the Rangers and people are mostly safe. Those stranded
in these areas and confined to their homes are being shifted to the
nearby schools for safety and security. SANA
