I have no magic wand to improve law and order situation soon in Karachi: Manzoor Wassan

KARACHI: Sindh Interior Minister Manzoor Wassan has said he has no magic wand to improve law and order situation in Karachi saying he be given time to maintain peace therein.

He said this while talking to media men here Saturday. He held three to four elements were disrupting the peace of Karachi.
These elements were Qabza group, Mafia and Taliban, he added. Maintaining law and order situation in Karachi was his top priority, he declared. Onerous responsibility had been assigned to him, he observed.
“I will seek help from all the parties that they should join hands with Sindh government for the sake of peace in Karachi and restoration of writ of government. I need assistance from all institutions including army, media and civil society. It is my endeavour peace is restored in Karachi ”, he underlined.
Over 189 persons fell victim to target killings from January to date in Karachi, he pointed out. Some terrorists had been arrested and the institutions were extending full assistance in apprehending the remaining terrorists, he told
“MQM is and will remain with us. I will visit affected areas on my own. Media is requested to deliver message of peace in every home” he remarked.
Rehman Malik will not have to bother to visit Karachi again, he said adding all the elements who have been taken into custody are target killers. Online
