Naik gives public funded vehicles to five senators just for Rs. 10 per km


ISLAMABAD: As many as five Chairpersons of former Senate Standing Committees have refused to return the official vehicles after dissolving their committees. Chairman Senate Farooq H. Naik had given the precious cars to them on unbelievable throwaway price.

According to details seven federal ministries were devolved to the provinces under 18th Amendment. Ultimately the standing committees of the parliament regarding these ministries were also dissolved.
After the disband of these committees transport section of Senate Secretariat wrote the letters to Chairman Standing Committee on Food and Agriculture Senator Javed Ali Shah, Chairperson Standing Committee on Health Senator Kalsoom Parveen , Chairman Standing Committee on Labour and Manpower Senator Naeem Hassan Chatta, Chairman Standing Committee on Sports Senator Abdul Ghafar Qureshi and Chairperson Standing Committee on Women Development Shirala Malik for returning the official vehicles which were used by them during their tenure as Chairpersons of these committees.
But all the five Members of Parliaments refused to give back the cars. The mater was taken to the Chairman Senate Farooq H. Naik, who gave approval to give these cars to them on the unbelievable price of Rs 10 per kilometer, which would be deducted from their pay and allowances. These senators will bear the expenses of fuel, maintenance and salary of drivers of these cars by their own pocket.
