KARACHI, - Seven people were killed in various incidents in the city.
Munawwar Iqbal, 30, was killed in target killing near Juhar Complex. According to police, he was targeted when he was standing outside his estate agency in Block 7, Gulistan-e- Jauhar. Four armed men riding two motorcycles opened fire at him and he died on the spot. The police shifted the injured to a nearby private hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
In Qasba Colony unknown miscreant opened fire at a young man Imran Afridi and killed him on the spot. According to the spokesman of Puktoon Student Federation the victim was the member of their provincial committee. In another incident unknown culprits opened fire on a bus in Banaras colony in which one passenger died while four others were injured.. In late night a political party worker Mushtaq, 30, was killed while unknown persons opened fire at him in Bhimpura in jurisdiction of Eidgah police station.
Moreover, police found body of watchman Abdul Rehman, 42, son of Mohammad Omar, resident of Charanji Goth, from bushes within the limits of Ibrahim Hyderi police station.
According to the police he was a killed with the help of a sharp edged weapon. Police said the personal enmity might be the motive of this murder. No case was registered yet.
Two-year-old boy Mohammad Zeeshan, son of Azam, was playing at his house at Macchar Colony in the jurisdiction of Docks police station when he drowned in a water tank. Later his body was recovered.
An unidentified woman was crossing a road near Manzoor Colony when a speeding vehicle hit her, resulting in her instant death.
One drug addict was killed during fight with another addict near Cloth Market in the limits of Kharadar police station. One was Naeed and the other Asghar.
