A
Pakistani groom and a Chinese bride tied the nuptial knot in the
Chinese city of Fu Shen in Shenyang province on July 3. The young
couple met while studying in the USA. As the Pakistan and China are
celebrating 2011 as the year of friendship to mark the 60th
anniversary of their diplomatic relations, the wedding was called

banker and Shu Feng, the bride, is an academic. Hasan is the son of
General Agha Farooq, President of National Defence University (NDU) of

wedding ceremony in a local hotel was concluded in just one and a half
hours. Pakistani and Chinese guests applauded the couple amidst
enthusiastic chants of ‘Long Live Pakistan-China Friendship’.
General Agha Farooq and Mrs. Farooq had travelled all the way from Islamabad to attend the wedding and receive the bride in the family.
Madam Wang Guifeng, Mayor of Fu Shun county in Liaoning province, and Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Masood Khan gave their blessings to the couple.
General Xiao Tian Liang, representing National Defence University of China, Senior local Military Commander Ming Yao Dong, three Vice Mayors and two Deputy Secretary Generals of the Fu Shun County, Brigadier Fahim-ul-Aziz, Defence & Army Attach and First Secretary Faraz Zaidi also attended the wedding.
