PM Gilani for upholding national interest at all costs

Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has said that the national interest should be kept above every thing by all the political parties.
He said that the Government’s policy of reconciliation will continue and the genuine grievances of the MQM will be addressed to keep the coalition intact, adding that his party would try to win cooperation of other political parties in Azad Jammu and Kashmir as well.
The Prime Minister expressed these views while talking to Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and the Senior Minister Chaudhry Pevez Elahi who called on him at PM’s House here on Monday.
The Prime Minister appreciated cooperation of the leadership of the PML (Q) for their efforts to reconcile other political parties and their recent meeting with the Prime Minister of AJ&K Sardar Atiq Ahmed Khan in this context. He said that reconciliatory politics is need of the time to keep the Nation united and focused on solution of the major national issues confronting the people.
The Prime Minister said that the recent elections will go a long way for winning the fundamental rights of the people of Kashmir. He observed that the public mandate given to PPP AJK will pave the way for solution of Kashmir dispute according to the wishes of the Kashmiri people. He appreciated PML (Q)’s reconciliatory role in politics and their keen interest in keeping other coalition partners on board.
Both the senior leaders of PML (Q) congratulated the Prime Minister on victory of the Pakistan Peoples Party Azad Jammu & Kashmir in a free, fair and transparent elections.
They appreciated the Government’s politics of reconciliation and suggested the Prime Minister to address the grievances of MQM and work out all the possibilities to keep the coalition intact.
They also suggested to the Prime Minister that the politics of reconciliation may be extended to AJ&K as well. They apprised the Prime Minister about their recent meeting with the AJK Prime Minister Sardar Atiq Ahmed Khan. SANA
