Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has said the Government of Pakistan will
support the Kashmir cause at all international forums and will use
diplomatic means to highlight this cause at international level.
He maintained, the Kashmir issue is the raison d’etre of the
establishment of Pakistan People’s Party and our party leadership is
committed to continue moral, diplomatic and political support to this
cause till the issue is resolved according to the whishes of the
Kashmiri people.
The Prime Minister was talking to a delegation of the People’s Party
Azad Jammu & Kashmir along with Senator Jehangir Badar, Secretary
General Pakistan People’s Party who called on him at Prime Minister’s
House here on Monday.
The Prime Minister observed that being Chairman Kashmir Council, he
would ensure that the Kashmir Cause is highlighted at all forums. He
also assured the Kashmiri brethren that the Government of Pakistan will
continue providing adequate resources for the development of Azad Jammu
& Kashmir.
The delegation congratulated the Prime Minister on the victory of
PPP in AJ&K elections. They appreciated his positive role in
positive projection of Kashmir cause and mobilization of party workers
during the election campaign. Senator Jahangir Badar termed this
victory as an expression of the the confidence of Kashmiri people on
the policies of Pakistan peoples Party.
The meeting was attended by Barrister Sultan Mehmood, Ex-Prime
