Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Monday said the genuine
grievances of Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) would be addressed to keep
the coalition intact, in line with the government’s reconciliation
policy. He
said the Pakistan Peoples Party would also work on winning cooperation
of other political parties in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).The
Prime Minister expressed these views while talking to Chaudhry Shujaat
Hussain and Senior Minister Ch. Pervez Elahi, who called on him at the
PM House.
He appreciated cooperation of the
leadership of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) for their efforts to
reconcile other political parties and their recent meeting with AJK
Prime Minister Sardar Atiq Ahmed Khan in this context.
He said reconciliatory politics was need of the hour to keep the nation united and focused on the solution of major national issues confronting the people.
The Prime Minister said the recent elections would go a long way for winning the fundamental rights of the people of Kashmir.
He observed that the public mandate given to the PPP AJK would pave the way for the solution of Kashmir dispute according to the wishes of Kashmiri people.
He appreciated the PML-Q’s reconciliatory role in politics and their keen interest in keeping other coalition partners on-board.
Both the senior leaders of PML-Q congratulated the Prime Minister on victory of the Pakistan Peoples Party Azad Jammu and Kashmir in free, fair and transparent elections.
They lauded the government’s politics of reconciliation and suggested the Prime Minister to address the grievances of MQM and work out all the possibilities to keep the coalition intact.They apprised the Prime Minister about their recent meeting with the AJK Prime Minister. APP
