The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Tuesday increased the price of imported Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) by Rs 18 per kg.According to an OGRA notification, a domestic cylinder will be available at Rs 1450 with per KG price of Rs 123. In remote areas including Azad Jammu and Kashmir, FATA and Norther Areas the price of a domestic cylinder will be Rs 1480.According to Chairman of LPG Distributors Association Muhammad Irfan Kokhar the OGRA on July 4 notified price of a domestic cylinder of locally-produced LPG of Rs. 1239 with per kg price at Rs 105.

He said the fresh notification had provided an opportunity to the marketing companies to charge prices of imported LPG price, across the country.
He said of total 86 companies, only 13 had imported LPG.  SHV, Cress and Ravi imported 1800 metric tons, 2500 tons and 1800 metric tons LPG  respectively.
He said the gas mafia was trying hard to undermine the welfare measures of government through unethical practices.
He said action should be taken against anti-market forces that had forced the poor segments of the society to purchase the commodity at exorbitant rates. APP
