ISLAMABAD: ECP (Election Commission of Pakistan) has requested the
statistics division to help reschedule the process census through CCI
(Council of Common Interest), in order to ensure valid electoral lists.
The high-level meeting chaired by chairman ECP, Justice (Retd)
Hamid Mirza on Tuesday noted the problem that voters’ verification and
census were falling on identical dates, and hence decided to refer it
to CCI for resolve.
The meeting was briefed by chairman NADRA
(National Database Registration Authority), Ali Arshad Kaleem regarding
printing of electoral rules, facilitating house –to-house verification
of electoral. Whence chairman NADRA has been known to have requested
extension for validating these electoral lists for facilitating 800
million voters.
Talking on the occasion, the secretary
statistics division, Asif Bajwa informed that house-to-house
verification of voters would began on 08th August and end on 17th
