ISLAMABAD: Election commission of Pakistan (ECP) has summoned a high
level meeting on 19TH July in a bid to provide full legal cover to the
by-elections.
After full inception of ECP, the Supreme Court of
Pakistan has left the decision of holding by-elections on 29 vacant
seats for Senate, N.A, and Provincial assemblies.
Sources have
informed that the meeting would deliberate over various
recommendations, including the recent directives of Supreme Court, and
providing legal cover to by-elections, besides providing guidance to
government for legislation. Online
