Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry administered the
oath of the office to Justice Mian Shakirullah Jan, Judge Supreme Court
of Pakistan, as Acting Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan in a
simple and dignified ceremony here on Tuesday.
The Hon’ble Judges of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Attorney
General for Pakistan, Members and senior officers of Election
Commission of Pakistan, Director General (HR) Supreme Court of
Pakistan, Director General, Federal Judicial Academy, Islamabad,
Secretary and officers of Law & Justice Commission of Pakistan,
senior Lawyers and Law officers also attend the ceremony.
Dr. Faqir Hussain, Registrar Supreme Court of Pakistan conducted the
proceedings of oath taking ceremony. Officers and staff of the Supreme
