ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) has adjourned for indefinite period
hearing of Police Foundation land scandal case due to non appearance of
counsel for Anjum Aqeel, MNA.
A 3-member SC bench led by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry took up the case for hearing Tuesday.
At
the inception of hearing the court was told Makhdoom Ali Khan and Hamid
Khan counsels for Anjum Aqeel were on leave, therefore the hearing of
the case be adjourned.
The court while adjourning the hearing
issued notice to Attorney General directing him to file reply with
regard to details of cases registered against Anjum Aqeel Khan and
their present status. Online
