Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Wassan has said that government has overcome
the conspiracy against peace of Karachi through target killing, adding
that all kinds of conspiracies of terrorists would be foiled; meanwhile
he termed the suicide attack on police official home as another
conspiracy to destroy the peace of metropolis.
Talking to the media persons outside the house of SSP Chaudhry Aslam
in Karachi, provincial Home Minister said that investigation has been
launched to unmask the elements behind the suicide attack in Defence
area of Karachi.
He said the suicide blast was yet another attempt to disturb the law
and order situation in the provincial metropolis. He said that some
foreign elements and the terrorists do not want peace in Karachi.
He said the incidents of target killings have been controlled in
Karachi and with similar force; the terrorist elements would be
defeated.
He said that number of police personnel would be increased for the
security of the police officials, adding that the government would
construct the house of the Police official Chaudhry Aslam and
assistance of 20 Lac rupees would be given to every martyred of police
personnel and he announced one Lac rupees assistance for injured
people. He said that 64 policemen have been martyred.
He said that targeted operation would be continued against
terrorists, adding that terrorists plot was an effort to destroy the
law and order situation in Karachi so they targeted the police because
police takes action against culprits.
He said that attack is not a failure of security but it is a war
which is being fight throughout the country, adding that government
would plan a strategy to control these terrorists.
Provincial minister said that government would also compensate to
the relatives of the killed woman teacher and her son. He claimed that
many terrorists have been taken into custody but their details can not
be shared with media, adding that as soon new arrests would be made, we
would share the detail with media. SANA
