Terrorist attacks cannot weaken our resolve in war against terrorism: Durrani

Inspector General of Police Sindh Syed Wajid Ali Durrani has said that the terrorist attacks cannot weaken our resolve in war against terrorism, adding that action against terrorists is going on. He said that the terrorists hit a soft target, which was not expected.

He said that we had information about the attack and we raided on different hideouts of the terrorists on Sunday night to prevent the possible attack.
This he said while talking to media after visiting the location of house of SSP, CID Police Chaudhry Aslam that was attacked by a suicide bomber on Monday morning.
He said that steps are being taken to improve the security of masses, adding that he has reservations from the judiciary as the trails were not being conducted up to the mark, while we are trying to remove the loopholes in the police system.
He said that a double cabin vehicle was used for this attack, adding that 300 Kg explosive material was used in this attack.
He said that after receiving the information, we tighten the security of sensitive institutions due to which the terrorists targeted the house of SP Chaudhry Aslam finding it as easy target.
He said we had conducted raid on the hideouts of terrorists on the Sunday night but the terrorists did a job, which was not expected.
He said that we would capture the terrorists behind the attack, adding that such type of activities cannot weaken our resolve, adding that we had information of attack by a vehicle and we are ready to face it.
About the responsible of the attack he said that it is not worthy to say something before a proper investigation, adding that we would say something after completion of investigation.
Replying a question, he said that we have tighten the security of police officials working against the terrorists and we further improve it; meanwhile in an interview with a private TV channel he said that we taking every possible step to improve the security of masses and restore peace in Karachi.
