ISLAMABAD: NA Standing Committee for cabinet Secretariat has taken
strong notice regarding inclusion of extra land for the Chak Shazad
residence of former President Gen. Pervez Musharraf.
The Monday
meeting of the committee chaired by Dr. Fazal Chaudhry was notified of
the by member committee, Tahira Aurangzeb, who informed that more than
750sq ft of extra land had been taken illegally and CDA seemed totally
indifferent to the situation.

Elahi informed the committee that he would report the details to the
committee after scrutinizing the architectural layout of the house of
former President, besides inspection of the site itself by CDA
inspection team, besides taking legal action against the former
President if he was found guilty of violation of by-laws.
The
meeting also deliberated over corruption committed in Kuri model
village, regarding which the CDA chairman said that any information
required by FIA was always provided, yet FIA always kept on harassing
CDA employees, and CDA officials were kept in long tiresome waiting
outside FIA offices.
When questioned, the FIA officials
maintained that they were duty bound to investigate the case and only
those indicted in Kuri Model Village scheme scam were being
investigated, including officials as low as patwari upto as high as
directors.
The committee also deliberated over appointments in
CDA during past three years and the grand residential scheme of Park
Residential Enclave. Online
