Qaim for, Sharjeel against APC on Karachi situation

KARACHI: Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah has called All-Parties Conference for Friday to discuss Karachi situation.
A Sindh government spokesman said that Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah has decided to call APC in order to brainstorm with the leaders of key parties to restore peace in the city.

The invitations for the APC have been dispatched to leaders of main parties, he added.
He said that the agenda for the APC is Karachi situation, wherein all the parties would be open to make suggestions and share possible ways and means to restore peace.
Meanwhile, Sindh Information Minister, Sharjeel Memon denied that an All Parties Conference (APC) would be held on Friday. “Parties will be called for a meeting and briefed on the ongoing operation in Karachi” Memon said. Earlier a statement issued by the CM house stated that the APC would be held.
The provincial information minister was holding a joint news conference with Karachi police chief, Saud Mirza.
During the news conference Memon said that 165 criminals had been arrested in the ongoing Karachi operation and claimed that no target killing had taken place in the city during the last two days.
He added that the operation would continue until the writ of the government was established. Online
