ISLAMABAD: Opposition leader in senate Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidri
has said government and law enforcement agencies have failed miserably
to ensure protection of life and property of people of Karachi ,
therefore, all political and social forces should evolve joint
mechanism to foil nefarious designs of anti state elements.
He
filed 2 adjournment motions in senate in connection with debate on
deteriorating law and order situation in Karachi and Balochistan.
He
said Karachi was jugular vein of the country and the enemy was out to
cut this vein. Bodies are being thrown out of running vehicles and
gunny bag packed bodies are being recovered, he held. Those involved in
sabotaging the peace of the city be dealt with iron hands, he stressed.
He also expressed his grave concern over worsening situation in
Balochistan, Mutilated bodies, kidnapping for ransom and target
killings have become matter of daily routine therein, he alleged. The
people of Balochistan are feeling insecure, he remarked.
Our
national economy was being adversely affected and the prevailing
situation was brining disrepute for our country in the comity of
