A spokesman for Pakistan's paramilitary force says a suspected U.S.
surveillance drone has crashed in a military area near the Afghan
border.
But NATO says it has no report of such an incident.
Pakistani
paramilitary spokesman Saeed Ahmed says the small aircraft was equipped
with cameras and other equipment but no weapons and crashed Thursday in
the border town of Chaman in southwest Pakistan.
Ahmed says the crash did not damage property on the ground and there was no evidence it had been shot down.
Ahmed says military authorities have taken the debris and will decide whether to hand it to U.S. forces across the border. AP
