Karachi : 2 killed in road accidents

In two separate tragedies, the lives of a Class VI student and a young man were cut short on Monday.


Twelve-year-old Muhammad Hussain suffered from fatal injuries after falling from his school van near Ayshia Manzil in Jauharabad’s police jurisdiction, while en route to his Mukka Chowk residence.

Upon hearing the panicked screams of Hussain’s fellow students, the van’s driver rushed the injured boy to a private hospital for emergency care.

Unfortunately, young Muhammad did not survive treatment and his body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal formalities.

According to police officials, the deceased was a Class VI student at the Happy Palace Grammar School.

They also confirmed that Hussain’s fell off the van when the driver of the speeding vehicle applied the breaks suddenly, flinging the young boy onto the main road and smashing his skull.

Meanwhile, 30-year-old Amir Ali, was killed when a speeding vehicle ran over him while he was crossing a street in Sohrab Goth. Although the culprit drove away, another vehicle at the scene hurried Amir, who was in critical condition, to a private hospital where he passed away during treatment.
