LAHORE: PML-Q leaders Kamil Ali Agha and Ch Zaheer have strongly reacted against a “media campaign” of FIA Director Zafar Qureshi against Moonis Elahi and claimed that despite using negative tactics he could not recover even Rs five from Moonis during his 14-day remand.
They claimed that Zafar Qureshi could not provide any evidence of involvement of Moonis Elahi in the NICL case and he was holding his media trial by leveling baseless allegations against him.
They condemned the alleged biased and prejudiced behaviour of Zafar Qureshi and said he was leveling baseless allegations against Moonis one after the other without any evidence through the media, which reflected that he did not have any belief in the supremacy of law and justice. They claimed that after leveling baseless allegations against Moonis, Zafar Qureshi had started using negative tactics by involving women of the family in the media campaign. They alleged that Qureshi was using the media to tarnish their political and social image but said they had complete trust in courts.
