Karachi : Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan Justice Hamid Ali Mirza has revisedthe remaining stages of by-election to a general seat in Senate from Sindh,
which has fallen vacant with effect from April 01, 2011 on account of resignation tendered by Dr. Khatu Mal Jeewan. According to revised schedule, the nomination papers of candidates could be filed on April 14 and 15, scrutiny of nomination papers will be held on April 16, the last date for filing of appeals if any against rejection of nomination papers is April 19 and the disposal of such appeals will be on April 21. The last date for withdrawal of candidature is April 22 and same day the final list of candidates will be published. The polling will be held on April 27 at Sindh assembly building.
