Militants kill alleged spy in Khyber Agency

BARA: The militants shot dead an alleged spy in Tirah Valley of Khyber Agency, local sources said on Monday. The sources said that Aziz-ur-Rehman and Younas were kidnapped by militants belonging to the banned Lashkar-e-Islam on spying charges.
The sources said that Younas was released some three days ago after he was found innocent whereas Aziz-ur-Rehman was killed and his body dumped in a dry stream in Sandana area populated by Sepah tribe in Tirah valley. The sources added that a number of people including militant commander Wahid was wanted to Mangal Bagh for spying for US in carrying out three drone attacks against the militants of LI and TTP Swat chapter in Sepah area of Tirah valley in December last.

Meanwhile, a mortar shell fired by the security forces hit a house, leaving three persons, including a woman and two children, injured in Mandikas area of Bara on Monday. The sources said the security forces were carrying out shelling against the suspected positions of militants in well-populated Mandikas and surrounding areas from the nearby FC camps. During the search operation, the security forces arrested 10 suspected persons and seized 18 small bags of hashish from Shalobar area of Bara and shifted them to Fort Salop FC camp.
