Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Hussain Wassan has announced the compensation money of two million rupees for the heirs of each of the policemen martyred in incident of Chakra Goth Korangi.
He was talking to media after attending Namaz-e-Janaza of martyred policemen at Police headquarters at Garden Area here.
He said that over 100 target killers have been arrested so far,
adding that the investigations are underway and these would be
presented in front of masses soon.
He said that there is a heap of ammunition in the city which would be rooted out with the help of media.
Earlier, the Minister along with Inspector General of Sindh Police,
Wajid Ali Durrani and others attended the Namaz-e-Janaza of three
policemen who embraced martyrdom when some unidentified miscreants
opened fire at a bus carrying elite force personnel at Chakra Goth
Korangi on Friday evening.
Manzoor Wassan announced that the severely wounded six police
personnel would be given Rs 200,000/each while other injured would get
Rs 100,000/each, adding that the heirs of the martyred police personnel
would also be given jobs.
He said that the president asif ali Zardari has already announce
compensation for the heirs of the all killed persons during the month
of Ramzan.
He extolled the policemen for sacrificing their lives for the cause of peace in Karachi.
He told the newsmen that three policemen embraced martyrdom and 29
were wounded, including six severely injured in firing incident in
Chakra Goth incident.
He said a comprehensive security plan is being devised to provide protection to the people in the metropolis.
He also paid rich tributes to the policemen who were martyred and injured in Chakra goth incident. SANA
