Karachi violence claim another 9 lives

Despite government’s claims of action against miscreants, nine more citizens were shot dead in Karachi on Sunday.
According to reports, Shehryar, 10, and Zeshan, 15, were shot and killed in Chanisar Goth locality of Mehmoodabad. While a third person, Tahir, was injured.  An unidentified man was gunned down near Safari Park. 

In another incident, an unnamed person was shot dead at Gulshan-e-Iqbal University road; meanwhile one person was killed in the Golimar area of the city in the result of the firing of the unknown persons. 
Police said that two youths’ trussed up bodies in bags were found this morning at MPR Colony in Orangi Town. The youths were kidnapped, brutally tortured and short dead, police said.
One dead body was recovered from the Machar Colony area of the city and the deceased person was tortured prior to shooting him by the kidnappers.
It is worth mentioning here that eight persons were killed on Saturday; meanwhile the death toll in the past four days reached 95.
Rescue sources said that one body was also recovered from beneath the Teenhatti Bridge, which immediately could not be identified. Another one trussed up body in bag was found at Pak Colony who was tortured and slain. Police identified the victim as Rizwan, a resident of Garden area. 
Police said that some unknown persons’ firing killed Samiullah, 28 and injured two persons near Safari Park.
Meanwhile a large number of people took to street in Lahore and registered their protest over Karachi bleeding. They also lit candles to express solidarity with the families of those who suffered murders of their loved ones on Sunday. 
People representing NGOs, civil society, and all walks of life participated in a peaceful demonstration occurred at famous Liberty Chowke. 
Protestors were carrying banners and placards, with slogans written on them demanding restoration of peace and stern action against terrorists in metropolis. 
Later, they lit candles, showing solidarity with the bereaved families of victims who were killed during recent days of bloodbath in the port city. SANA
