The former president general (retd) Pervez Musharraf alleged accused in Benazir Bhutto murder case maybe convicted on August 27.
Special Anti Terrorist Court judge Shahid Rafique heard the BB murder case on Saturday.
The special court hearing the case has also cut the concerned
authorities a last slack to produce details of absconder gen (retd)
Pervez Musharraf’s assets.
During the course of hearing, which was held at District Court
instead of Adiala Jail, the FIA counsel told the Anti-Terrorism Court
(ATC) that GHQ and DHA authorities had not provided the information
regarding former president’s assets and they are not cooperating with
the agency. Counsel said that FIA had written letters to the both
departments but had not received any response yet.
FIA contended that they have not found any property of Musharraf at
Bahria Town Rawalpindi, adding that directions have been issued to
Bahria Town Lahore including four provincial chief secretaries for more
information regarding the property of Pervez Musharraf.
The judge directed to the FIA authorities that write letters to
these two institutions for the last time for the same adding that FIA
always bring same kind of excuses on every hearing of the case. Court
directed that investigation should go ahead adding that the reminder
call should be sent to the concern departments and get immediate
response.
The court, before adjourning the hearing, ordered that all the
defendants’ lawyers should be provided with the copies of the case
files including statements of SSP operation Yaseen Farooque, political
secretary of Benazir Bhutto Naheed Abbasi and her husband Safdar
Abbasi, so that the accused could be convicted on August 27.
It is worth mentioning here that FIA already have submitted the
details of Musharraf property present at Shinghr Housing Society
Gawadar where he owns 10 Kanals area, one farm house at Islamabad and
bank accounts details. FIA also had submitted the details of
agricultural property belonging to Sehba Musharraf, the wife of Pervaiz
Musharraf available at Mauza Kotha Kalan Rawalpindi.
Later the same court heard the case against Lal Masjid Khateeb
Maulana Abdul Aziz accused of murdering a Rangers’ personal in which
the special court also recorded the testimonies of two witnesses;
meanwhile the next hearing falls on August 23, 2011. SANA
