One soldier was killed and seven others suffered injuries in separate militant attacks in restive tribal agencies on Sunday.
The first attack took place in South Waziristan Agency (SWA), where
militants attacked a check post, killing one security personal.
According to details, suspected militants fired a rocket at a check
post in Ladda tehsil of South Waziristan, killing one soldier.
Security forces opened retaliatory fire, killing two attackers and injuring five others.
In the second attack, five troops were wounded when a roadside bomb
struck their vehicle on Bannu-Miranshah road in North Waziristan tribal
agency.
Locals surrounded the militants following the attack and opened fire
